Decorations

Stars, kusudamas and decorative pieces for the home and for parties. 88 models.

Stars, kusudamas, baubles, pagodas and geometric solids: origami decorations for the home, a festive table or the Christmas tree. Many are modular, meaning they are made of several identical squares, with a simple fold repeated and a trickier assembly.

To begin, the traditional star is made from two 15 cm squares, with no glue. The pagoda adds one square per storey, shrinking the size by 0.5 to 1 cm each time. The traditional kusudama is assembled from 6 squares and some glue. For a more ambitious piece, Nick Robinson's rhombic dodecahedron takes 12 A6 rectangles and adhesive tape. A tip: use two-coloured paper, which shows off every module.
