Here is a modular origami created by Lewis Simon. As usual, modular origami means easy folding but tricky assembly (especially the last piece!). You will need 12 squares of the same size. Only 6 sheets will be visible; here I used 3 different colours. The other 6 squares won't show, so their colour doesn't matter. Assembly can be more or less easy depending on the texture of the paper, and on how well the units slide into each other. For example, the model on the left in the photo, made with 7.5 cm squares of origami paper, was extremely hard to assemble, whereas the one on the right (the one in the video) is made with 10.5 cm squares of kraft paper. That one was easier because the shiny side of the paper slid better. So it's up to you: you may need to try another paper if you find it too difficult. You can then make your gyroscope spin by holding it in your cupped hands and blowing on it, or use it as a decoration to display or to hang up. Good luck!
