Cube

This Christmas origami is a pretty, colourful cube to hang on the tree. You will need 6 square sheets of paper to make it. You will have noticed that the basic unit for this modular origami is the same as for the previous decoration, the diamond. In fact, for those familiar with modular origami, it is a variation of a unit known as the sonobe, created by Mitsunobu Sonobe. These units can be used to make a great many origami models, from the simplest to the most complex. You will find others on the internet.
