Easy origami

Easy origami to fold step by step, sorted by video length: from a few minutes to more than ten, with just a sheet of paper and your fingers.

These models are for anyone who has never folded before, or who wants to ease back into paper: adults, children with a helper, teachers. Every model comes with a video that you can follow fold by fold, at your own pace. We have sorted them by video length, so you can choose according to the time you have.

To start, take a 15 cm square of paper and go for a fairly thin sheet: printer paper or ordinary origami paper works well. Paper that is too thick makes the creases hard to press. If a model does not work out the first time, simply try again: everyone folds better on the second go.

The videos on the Getting started page explain the basic folds and the symbols used in diagrams, and they will help if a step puzzles you. For a first success, try the crane, the great classic, or the paper chicken. The traditional paper boat takes about three minutes.
