Mini Christmas tree place card

What would Christmas be without a tree? And if you don't have room, no excuses: this one will fit in your living room without any problem! These mini trees make a really charming decoration. You can even have fun adding a few little decorations to them. Chinese lucky stars, which are tiny, are perfect for decorating them! And for a pretty and useful table decoration, I turn them into wonderful little place cards with a simple sewing pin and a small label!
Here are the sizes of the squares you need:
- for a tree about 18 cm tall: 4 green squares of 20, 15, 10 and 7 cm, and a 15 cm brown square for the trunk;
- for the place card version (about 6 cm tall): 3 green squares of 7.5, 5 and 3.5 cm, and a 5 cm square for the trunk.
Folding the trunk and the top is very easy; for the tiers of foliage, there are a few more creases to make at the start, which will be trickier on the 5 cm sheet. Practise first with a large sheet of scrap paper and fold precisely to get a lovely tree!
