Traditional model (China)

Chinese vase

The video is hosted on YouTube: it only loads when you press Play.

This traditional Chinese model can also be found under the name "Verdi's vase", after the origamist who made it popular. It is a very pretty decorative model, whether made with plain or patterned paper. However, you need fairly strong paper, because the final steps, in which the vase is shaped into 3D, can tear it. A 21 cm square of kraft paper will be perfect, for example. Then it's up to you to fill it with whatever bouquet you like!
