Forget-me-not

The video is hosted on YouTube: it only loads when you press Play.

Here is a very beautiful floral origami created by Makoto Yamaguchi: the forget-me-not. It will make a lovely addition to your paper flower bouquets. To fold this flower you will need one square for the petals, another square a quarter of the size of the first for the centre of the flower, and a strip of paper the same width as the small square for the stem. In the video I show the folding with 15 cm and 7.5 cm squares, but once you have practised, for a pretty result I recommend 7.5 cm squares (blue on both sides) for the flowers, 3.75 cm squares for the centres and 3.75 cm wide rectangles for the stems. Fold a first flower with a fairly long stem (15 cm, for example), then fold 2 or 4 more flowers with very short stems (4 or 5 cm) and glue them onto the long main stem to make a pretty little cluster of flowers, just like the real forget-me-not!
