Daffodil with stem

The video is hosted on YouTube: it only loads when you press Play.

Still in a spring mood, we bring you this very pretty daffodil with its stem, created by Ted Norminton. Be warned, it is not an easy model: there are a lot of folds, and the many layers of paper will make things harder. So preferably use a large square (at least 20 cm) of not-too-thick paper. The stem and the flower are each folded from a square of the same size. The flower is made from a hexagon: just follow the first steps, which show how to make a regular hexagon from your square (with scissors or a paper guillotine).

Don't forget to practise on scrap paper first before using good-quality paper. Be patient, fold carefully and you will be rewarded with the result!
