Traditional model (Japan)

Noshi kabuto, samurai helmet envelope

The video is hosted on YouTube: it only loads when you press Play.

Noshi are traditional Japanese envelopes in which you place a small gift, usually banknotes. This one is shaped like a kabuto, the traditional samurai helmet. It makes a lovely pouch for giving money at Christmas. To make it, you will need an A4 sheet (not too thick) or, even better, A3, for a bigger pouch.
