Houou, traditional Japanese phoenix

The phoenix. A legendary firebird that burns itself up and rises again from its ashes. Here is the traditional Japanese version. You will notice straight away that this origami is based on the famous crane! It is not a difficult model, but it has many layers of paper, so use a fairly large square (at least 20 cm) of fairly thin paper, or you may not manage to fold it!
