Heart ring

The video is hosted on YouTube: it only loads when you press Play.

With Valentine's Day approaching slowly but surely, I am suggesting this ring decorated with a heart, designed by Francis Ow, the master of origami hearts if ever there was one, since he devoted an entire book to the subject (Origami Hearts). This origami is folded from a strip with a 1:4 ratio, that is, four times longer than it is wide. To turn this ring into a real finger ring to declare your love, use a 2.5 × 10 cm rectangle, or even smaller if you are patient! But a word of advice: practise first with a larger rectangle, as in the napkin ring version (for a candlelit dinner, for example!) that I fold in the video with a 5 cm by 20 cm rectangle.
