Mother's Day

A card, a few flowers and a small box: here are origami gift ideas for Mother's Day, several of them easy enough for children to fold themselves, with an adult at their side. A paper bouquet keeps its colours long after the day is over.

Michel Grand's super-simple heart card was made with them in mind: a square of 15 to 20 cm, in a different colour on each side. For flowers, combine the lotus bud, which you inflate by blowing into it, with the simple flower stem: you get a tulip. To wrap everything up, the Tomoko Fuse flower box takes 8 squares of the same size. It is a modular model, so a little slow, but not too difficult: keep it for older children, or fold it together.
