Here is a very impressive origami by Yami Yamauchi. It is a modular fold that you can turn over on itself again and again, which makes it appear in many different shapes. But be warned, the assembly is difficult! Joining the last two units is the trickiest part, because the model is then under tension and you have to hold it firmly to manage it. The last two units also tend to get a little damaged in the process, but that cannot be helped.

You need 12 squares of identical size, not too thin, to fold it. Here I used 15 cm squares, all in different colours, but you can also alternate 2, 3 or 4 different colours regularly.
